Youth Show

Youth Exhibitors

Attention Youth Exhibitors
All rules listed for the senior open show apply to youth exhibitors.  Youth may enter birds in any of three categories: 1) You may enter birds in the youth show and compete only with other youth.  2) You may enter birds in the senior open show and compete against some of the top breeders in the country. 3) You may enter the showmanship competition and compete with others in your own age group.  It is not mandatory to bring an extra bird for showmanship but it is strongly advised to do so.  We will not stop judging the youth show if your bird is being used for showmanship at the time it could be judged in either of the other shows.  For any youth not exhibiting in the youth or open show and competing in showmanship only, there is a fee of $5.00.

Essay Contest
The essay contest will take place on Saturday as well.  The topic is: “Of all the events offered at the Ohio National, which is the most meaningful to you and why?”  Essays are limited to 500 words or less and preferably typewritten. Essays must be turned in to the registration table by 9:30 Saturday morning.
Age divisions are: 6-10; 11-14; and 15-18
